As more and more schools are connecting to the Internet, teachers find themselves searching for appropriate on-line projects to integrate into the required coursework.
Although the Global SchoolNet Foundation (GSN) and other organizations including I*EARN, NASA, IECC, KIDLINK, GLOBE, Academy One, TIES, Tenet, TERC, and several universities offer many excellent projects each year, there is no one central location to find and plan for these projects ahead of time. Too often teachers hear of a project only after it is already in progress, not allowing them enough time to conduct appropriate pre-project activities.
Global SchoolNet has taken the initiative to make planning for projects a bit easier, by registering projects on a monthly calendar.
There are already dozens of projects registered from September 95 through May 96.
