CALL FOR VIEWPOINT CONTRIBUTIONS FOR TS
TECHNOLOGY STUDIES (TS) is a new multidisciplinary journal published by Walter de Gruyter#Berlin#New York. As indicated by its title, the journal is a central vehicle for international scholarly debate about `technology'.
One regular feature in TS is the Viewpoint section, which provides insights and information otherwise rarely shared. Forthcoming issues might feature anecdotes or narratives about how a particular innovation came about. This section is intended to be less formal than an article, commentary or research note and may be more conversational than what is usually read in an academic journal.
TS is soliciting contributions of this type for publication in upcoming issues and would appreciate your participation. If you have something you think is suitable and would like to contribute, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please send us a brief description of what you would like to contribute and how you plan to develop the piece. Explain why you think this might be of interest to TS and its readers. Include a short bio of yourself, with complete mailing address, phone, fax and E-mail numbers.
For examples of previous Viewpoint publications, see the first two issues of the TS journal, or send a request to the TS Editorial Office by E-mail to: GATTIKER2@CETUS.MNGT.ULETH.CA
or write to:
Professor Urs Gattiker, Editor Centre for Technology Studies Faculty of Management The University of Lethbridge Lethbridge, AB T1K 3M4 CANADA Fax: 403 329-2038
Thank you for your consideration; we look forward to receiving some interesting pieces for possible publication. ```
