NEW JOURNAL FOR ONLINE BEHAVIOR ACCEPTING MANUSCRIPTS

For immediate release Contact Dr. Joseph Walther, 518.276.2557

A new interdisciplinary scientific journal is now accepting manuscript submissions. The Journal of Online Behavior (ISSN 1092-4790) aims to publish empirical and theoretical research examining human behavior in the online environment, and the impact of evolving communication and information technology upon individuals, groups, organizations, and society. Submissions may be full-length articles, or brief research reports. The journal will be distributed free to individuals via the World Wide Web, and published on paper for fee-based library subscriptions. All article submissions to the journal will undergo double-blind review, and an international editorial board has been assembled with members from social and clinical psychology, communication, sociology, anthropology, medicine, business, management information systems, and computer science. Electronic submission, review, and publication are expected to expedite the editorial process. The editor, Joseph Walther, an associate professor of computer- mediated communication at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, can be reached at JOBeditor@behavior.net or 518.276.2557. For more information, including scope, submission guidelines and procedures, and subscriptions, browse .
