CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS

Dear Colleague

I am writing on behalf of the editors of the new international journal Personal Technologies to invite you to provide a contribution.

Personal Technologies will provide a forum for the publication of research in handheld and mobile computing and communications appliances. The journal will carry a wide range of contributions which represent the most innovative and significant work in this new and developing area.

The journal is published by Springer-Verlag UK, who have an excellent reputation for publishing international journals, conference proceedings and research monographs. The journal is due to launch in March 1997, the first issue presenting a state-of-the-art overview of personal technologies with contributions by Mike Hawley (MIT Media Lab), Steve Mann (MIT Media Lab), Peter Cochrane (BT), Mark Weiser (Xerox), Joel Birnbaum (Hewlett-Packard), and David Frohlich, Peter Thomas, Mike Hawley and Kenkichi Hirade, Editors of Personal Technologies.

If you have any questions about a possible contribution, please do not hesitate to contact me at Annette.Brune@csm.uwe.ac.uk or Peter Thomas at Peter.Thomas@csm.uwe.ac.uk. Further details are available at our WWW site at URL
