McLibel Support Campaign

``` Date: Sat, 12 Aug 1995 10:08:45 -0400 From: dbriars@world.std.com To: US McLibel Support Campaign Subject: Recent News Coverage
Besides the recent Wall Street Journal (July 18)and New York Times (Aug 6) pieces, there are other indications that the McLibel campaign is creeping into the mainstream media in sometimes strange places.
The "E" entertainment channel on cable/satellite aired a snippet on their evening gossip show about how Geoffrey Giordano, an early Ronald McDonald, had made a public apology that he felt guilty about duping children and that he had become a vegetarian. (Aug 9, 1995)
NBC New York TV News show "Inside Edition" did a show on how McDonald's was displacing the famous art/freak show which had been a fixture on Coney Island for many years, and which had added much character and humor to the community. "It's strictly a business decision" was a quote prominently inserted. (Aug 11,1995)
