From: National Commission for Democracy in Mexico
Dear Friends:
A moment to catch our breath and make a suggestion. Here at the national office we are trying hard to get the latest information from Mexico translated into English and out into the internet world. We really want everyone to have access to this information and in the beginning we tried to email to at least everyone who is not on Peacenet. However the volume of work is increasing everyday, and we are still learning how to most effectively use our technology.
Therefore we have an urgent plea to improve our communication process. There is a service on internet, which is available to anyone on internet. It's called chiapas-l. It's the main source of information in internet about Chiapas.
We post everything to chiapas-l as well as to reg.mexico in peacenet. If you subscribe to chiapas-l, all of the postings will come automatically to your mailbox.
To subscribe to chiapas-l, send a message to: majordomo@profmexis.dgsca.unam.mx
The message should say: subscribe chiapas-l
In addition, if you want to get La Jornada in Spanish, you can subscribe to Notipaez. To do so, send a message to: listproc@listas.unam.mx
The message should say: subscribe notipaez
If you do that, you will immediately subscribe and can then receive all of our messages automatically as well as many others from across the world.
We are sorry that we can not continue mailing to everyone individually, but in some ways it is a good sign--the movement is growing.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
